Dear boyfriend,

The last time I wrote you a letter, it got 50 notes. I think it deserved more, not because of how sweet it was, but because of the honesty of the content. You truly are the best boyfriend in the world. You’ve showered me with nothing but love and affection, especially in a time when I need it most. A lot of guys can’t even make their girlfriends smile everyday, and they live on the same block, but you make me smile every single time we talk, text, Facebook or whatever and we live over 800 miles apart. I feel blessed beyond belief every time I think of you. I can never go to sleep angry with you. Even when you’re having a moody day, you apologize because you don’t want to hurt me. Today I spent some time thinking about how happy I was with you, and it wasn’t just because of the way you make me feel, but because of who you are as a person. I am proud to be your girlfriend. No, I can’t see you everyday and sometimes, you are too tired to talk, but it’s because you work so hard. You work hard to be a better man for yourself. You work hard to be a great man for me, and you work harder than anyone I know to be there for your friends (I’m a sucky friend. It’s why I have two). It is impossible for me to talk about how great of a man you are for me, without honoring the person that you are. God gave me something so special when he put your heart in my hands. There is nothing in the world that I believe I ever did to deserve it, but I do promise that I will do all that I can to keep it beating as steadily as possible.
